Johna (she/they) is a cartoonist and illustrator. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, MUTHA Magazine, and The Gutter. She is an SCBWI member, and a recent picture book dummy of hers, The Mess in Lucy’s Room, was selected as a PB Rising Stars Runner Up. 

Johna has an MFA from the Center for Cartoon Studies and also holds a BA in Architecture from Yale University. She originally built her career as a User Experience Designer, working at top tech companies like Instagram and The New York Times.

Currently based in Brooklyn, Johna shares a home with her son, husband, and dog.
